Introduction
In the early 1800s, a scientist discovered a strange ancient relic. An organism that assimilated with its host, granting the ability to read, shape, move, and measure energy as a natural process.
Over many years, the host turned this discovery into a working device, and later into a full scale technology capable of influencing the very fabric of reality. The universe's raw energy could now be split into clear, countable pieces, creating a visible pattern that supports all modern invention. The organism became known as Ascentrove.
Thousands of years later, a Multiversal Council gathered to discuss a cosmic event spreading across many worlds. One individual, known as the Commander, was recalled to headquarters to join a critical meeting regarding the event.

One night, a light opened in the sky above the Nile. A lone wanderer followed it into the desert and found what was waiting for him. It did not become his possession. It became his nature.
The Exile & Beyond
He meant to lift humanity up. For a time, he did. Then the gift he gave began to be turned against the very people it was meant to carry, and the light that raised a civilisation began to burn it. He could not stay and watch. He chose exile, and for thousands of years he wandered between universes, carrying a cosmos inside him while crossing many outside it. He has seen more than anyone alive. And somewhere in all of it, there is still one question he has never been able to answer.

The System, The Guardians and The Megacorporation
As Ascentrove made its impact on the universe, whatever it left in its wake, whether chaos or order, this is how the universe was shaped. Three institutions with solid foundations took the initiative to restore balance. Each was founded by one of the original scientists who helped the Wanderer realise the Ascentrove technology.
While the Wanderer disappeared into exile, the other three each chose a different path forward. One came with the idea of order and founded the Federation. One came with the idea of regulating the technology through commerce and founded the Megacorporation. One came with the idea of freedom and protection and founded the Vanguards.
And thus began the new era that brought us to the universe as it stands today.
Council of Ascenthrope (The System)
First established as the Universal Federation of Civilization, built on the principles of Constitution, Order, Peace, and Perseverance. Over time it evolved into the Council of Ascenthrope, the governing body of political representation across the known universe.
Their headquarters is located on Planet Hevos of the Luma System.
Ascenthrope refers to all beings affected by Ascentrove, whether through technology or by nature.

Ascentrove Sentinels (The Guardians)
First established as the New World Vanguards, built on the principles of Protect, Servitude, Dedication, and Resolve. The most direct lineage of the original good intent. Everything was given to ensure the next generation could carry it forward. In time the Vanguards became the Ascentrove Sentinels.
Led by the Commander, their headquarters is located on Planet Spirifix of the Phoinix System.
Vortex Enterprise (The Megacorporation)
First established by one of the original four scientists who worked on the Ascentrove technology, under the name Four Tech. In its earliest form it was a genuine institution built on real principles, Power, Ambition, Vision, Innovation, and Quality. Not inherently corrupt. Capable.
Over centuries of ownership cycles and institutional change, it became what it is today. An infrastructure that handles everything from civilian needs such as food, medical, education, and industry, to full military expertise. Society looks to Vortex because life depends on it. It has made itself indispensable, and it knows it.
